Ol Kalou woman calls for aid to raise triplets

A diabetic mother of two in Nyandarua West subcounty on Sunday gave birth to premature but healthy triplets.Susan Nduta, 30, from Kangui village delivered two boys and a girl.The babies were born prematurely through a caesarean section at the Ol Kalou’s JM Kariuki Memorial Hospital.The elated mother of five children said she has been in and out of hospital before she was diagnosed with diabetes.

A diabetic mother of two in Nyandarua West subcounty on Sunday gave birth to premature but healthy triplets.

Susan Nduta, 30, from Kangui village delivered two boys and a girl.

The babies were born prematurely through a caesarean section at the Ol Kalou’s JM Kariuki Memorial Hospital.

The elated mother of five children said she has been in and out of hospital before she was diagnosed with diabetes.

Nduta, a farmer, said her only worry is how to bring up the children, since she and her husband, Paul Kihara, depend on casual jobs.

Nduta named the babies Solomon Ngugi, Timothy Kamau and Angel Ngonyo.

Faith Gitau, a women’s leader from Nyandarua county called on leaders to assist the family.

A nurse at the hospital Anne Kariuki said the children are healthy.
