Ruto also reiterated the government’s commitment to improving police welfare through modern institutional housing for officers.

He said the administration’s plan targets the construction of 17,000 housing units for officers across different regions of the country.

Some areas, such as Chuka, have already completed handovers, with officers now settled in the newly built estates.

The President urged that other sites where housing units are ready should fast-track occupation to ensure that more officers benefit from the programme without delay.

The commissioning of the induction at Embakasi marks a milestone in the government’s ongoing efforts to strengthen both the capacity and welfare of Kenya’s frontline security officers.
