Cabinet Secretary for gender, culture and heritage Hanna Wendot Cheptumo has reaffirmed the government's commitment to strengthening cultural ties with China ahead of the upcoming China–Kenya Cultural and Tourism Season.
This follows a courtesy call by Chinese Ambassador Guo Haiyan, during which both parties agreed to enhance cooperation in culture, heritage, tourism, and people-to-people exchange.
''The meeting focused on strengthening collaboration between Kenya and China in the areas of culture, heritage, tourism and people-to-people exchange to deepen the warm and longstanding bilateral relations between the two countries," Cheptumo stated.
CS Cheptumo emphasised the role of cultural diplomacy in promoting mutual understanding, economic growth, and national pride.
China–Kenya Cultural and Tourism Season will feature artistic performances, exhibitions, and tourism forums aimed at boosting shared prosperity and bilateral relations.
