Moi Avenue Primary School in Nairobi remains silent as the classes are empty.

This is due to the expected demonstrations which affected the school that is along the usually busy CBD.

Most businesses in CBD also remain closed. There is a heavy police presence in the CBD.

At the same time, police have mounted road blocks along State House road.

The Gen Z protests began on July 18.
