Nairobi Central Business District (CBD) remained largely deserted Thursday morning as traders and residents took caution in anticipation of the planned protests.
Most businesses remained closed Thursday morning and only a few opened doors as traders took no chances.
Security officers were, however, spotted in various streets although there was a scale-down in their numbers.
