Business activities in the Nairobi Central Business District were slow on Tuesday morning in the wake of anti-Finance Bill protests.

Most shops in the CBD remained closed ahead of the anticipated protests.

Few remained open with a contingent of police officers patrolling the streets.

As early as 8 am, protesters armed with water and smartphones had started regrouping in the CBD.

Hundreds of youth have been in the streets in a push to have the Finance Bill 2024 dropped.

Last week, the government dropped some of the controversial clauses in the bill, but the youth maintain they want the bill dropped completely.
