Hundreds of protesters stormed the streets of Eldoret in protest against the Finance Bill.

The protesters were armed with placards clear with the messages they wanted to pass across.

Many carried signs expressing their opposition to the bill as they blew their vuvuzelas.

Police in riot gear were present at several gathering spots identified by the youth on social media before the protests began.

By 8 am, armed officers in two Land Rovers were stationed at Zion Mall, the main meeting place.

Additional officers were deployed along Uganda Road and at the Kisumu Road junction to manage the situation.

The protesters brought down the symbolic UDA wheelbarrows in Eldoret town to express their dissatisfaction with the bill.
