Chaos and running battles characterised Mombasa streets on Wednesday as residents took to the streets to protest over the Finance Bill 2024.
The demonstrators faced off with anti-riot police officers who were deployed to tame the protests.
Roads and businesses remained deserted with shops closed for the better part of Wednesday morning.
