Institut français on Friday held the 16th edition of La Fabrique Cinéma.
Institut français with partnered with the International Organisation of La Francophonie and France Médias Monde, and the support of Canal Plus, a programme that identifies and promotes filmmakers and producers from developing and emerging countries.
It offers tailor-made support for first or second film projects, in close collaboration with the Festival de Cannes, the Marché du Film and numerous professional partners from France and Europe mainly international partners.
La Fabrique Cinéma is a tool supporting international co-production with France, in addition to the Aide aux Cinémas du monde fund, a fund jointly managed by the French National Centre of Cinema (CNC) and the Institut français.
Some of the projects pitched were, Spring Cleaning/ Ménage de, Raised by Goats, Tremble like a Flower, Resistencia, Le Dernier Roi / The Last of Kings, The Echo of the Leopard, Daughters of the Sea/ Les Filles de la Mer among others.
The session was moderated by Elias Ribeiro, producer for Urucu Media in South Africa and co-founder of Realness Institute.
Elias Ribeiro was a former participant of La Fabrique Cinéma in 2014.
