President Willia Ruto on Thursday hosted President Hassan Mohamud of Somalia at State House, Nairobi.
He said discussions centred on joint initiatives to fight terrorism and general insecurity in the region.
"Kenya reaffirms its commitment to working with Somalia to further peace and security in the region for our shared prosperity," Ruto said.
Kenya and Somalia share a common insecurity threat from the al Shabaab terror group that has over the years staged attacks in both countries with devastating results.
