Kenya Wildlife Service has begun translocating various herbivorous animals from Naivasha to Lakipia.

The translocation serves as multiple conservation management objectives including decongestion, introduction, reintroduction, supplementation and mitigation of human-wildlife conflict. 

The translocation was headed by Kenya Wildlife Service Assistant Director Veterinary Dominic Mijele.
