Defence CS Aden Duale on Tuesday laid a wreath at the grave site of former Great Leader and President of Egypt, Anwar Sadat.
He visited Sadat's grave on the second day of his three-day official visit to Egypt.
"Having been recognized with the Nobel Peace prize in 1978 for pacifying the Middle East, Sadat who served as 3rd President of Egypt is also known as the Father of Peace," Duale said on X.
The CS who was hosted by his Egyptian counterpart General Mohammed Zaki also laid a wreath on the monument of the unknown soldier.
The two leaders later discussed bilateral issues related to regional security and shared defence interests between Kenya and Egypt.
Duale was accompanied by a host of senior defence officials from Kenya.
