Business activities came to a standstill in South B on Friday morning as residents took to the streets in a protest against alleged land grabbing.
The contested land, earmarked for the construction of a market, became the focal point of their protest.
Carrying placards with messages, the residents called for President William Ruto’s intervention to address the situation.
“Stop land corruption. Let’s expose land grabbing, our future is in danger,” women were seen chanting.

Men blew whistles and joined in the protest.
The residents were joined by area MCA Waithera Chege who vowed to ensure the land is not lost.
