The European Union and Kenya on Monday signed an Economic Partnership Agreement (EPA) to boost bilateral trade in goods, increase investment flows, and contribute to sustainable economic growth.
President William Ruto and President Ursula von der Leyen presided over the signing of the agreement.
The signing of the agreement took place at State House in Nairobi.
The agreement provides permanent access to the EU market for Kenyan farmers, artisans, and entrepreneurs, thereby boosting job creation and innovation and catalyzing economic growth.
Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua and Prime Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi were also present. Cabinet Secretaries and Governors were present.
