The two leaders met on the sidelines of the 28th session of the Conference of Parties of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change in Dubai.

Ruto and Osmani in their talks agreed to work together on issues of common interest.

In total, Kosovo has received 114 diplomatic recognitions by United Nations member states, however 12 of those recognitions have been withdrawn with Serbia claiming that over twenty countries have revoked their recognition of Kosovo.
