The 60th Mashujaa Day celebrations at the Kericho Green Stadium have begun.
The stadium, which holds 10,000 persons was full by 7 am, as people started streaming in as early as 1 am.
This has seen others remain outside the stadium, where security has been beefed up.

Kenya Defence Force (KDF) officers can be seen riding around the town, with the help of traffic officers, who kept peace as President William Ruto arrived earlier.
