The Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission has launched the 2023 -2028 strategic plan, which will guide it in executing its mandate.
This is in its role as the lead agency in the fight against corruption and unethical conduct in the country.
The launch was presided over by the Prime Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi, who delivered a keynote speech.
It was attended by stakeholders including the Judiciary which was represented by Presiding Judge Anti-corruption and Economic Crime division Justice Esther Maina and the Regional Representative UNODC Neil Walsh.
Attendants were honoured with entertainment from Embakasi Girls' students and pupils at KBA Primary School, Kahawa West.
The learners recited poems and skits creating awareness and educating on corruption and its effects.
The EACC Strategic Plan which was developed through a national multi-sectoral consultative process, has drawn heavily from current corruption trends and patterns.
The plan is supported by four key pillars derived from the Commission's mandate.
They include law enforcement, promotion of ethics and integrity, prevention of corruption and unethical practices, and education, training and public awareness.
