President William Ruto on Saturday taking an extensive tour around the Mt Kenya region.
The Head of State kicked off the development tour from Githurai in Kiambu County where he commissioned the Githurai Water Supply Project and the new Githurai Market.
The project is expected to provide 5,000 cubic metres of water per day to 500,000 residents in Ruiru, Githurai, Mwihoko, and Kahawa.
A jerrican of water will go for Sh3.
"Mumekuwa mkinunua maji shillingi ishirini lakini sahi itakuwa inauzwa shillingi tatu," Ruto said.

Others were National Assembly Majority Leader Kimani Ichung'wah, Kiambu Senator Karungo wa Thangwa, Kiambu Governor Kimani Wamatangi, Kiharu MP Ndindi Nyoro and his Roysambu counterpart Augustine Mwafrika.
Also present were CS Alice Wahome (Water) and Zacharia Njeru (Lands), and Housing PS Charles Hinga.
