[PHOTOS] Ruto holds talks with Burundi President Ndayishimiye

President William Ruto on Monday held talks with Burundi President Evariste Ndayishimiye at State House.

Ruto said Kenya and Burundi continue to cooperate across various socio-economic areas including regional security and agriculture.

"We are committed to fully developing the trade and investment potential for the benefit of the people in both nations and ultimately, the prosperity of the region and Africa," Ruto said.

This comes after Ruto hosted more than 10 Heads of State for the 5th mid-year Coordination Meeting of the African Union, Regional Communities and Regional Mechanisms.

During the meeting, Ruto said it is possible to build a more integrated, prosperous, and stable Africa using the continent's resources. 

He said this will be done by first reforming the African Union to empower it and enable its performance to align with its goals.
