President William Ruto on Wednesday presided over the National Prayer Breakfast in Nairobi.

The leaders came together to hold prayers for the country.

The annual prayer session organised by Parliament is President Ruto’s first since he assumed office in September last year.

National Assembly Speaker Moses Wetang'ula said they are deliberate on uniting the country to be at total peace with itself.

“Reconciliation is not an easy task as it invites us to look inward and accept our shortcomings,” he said.

This year's theme is: Reconciliation to God and Men 

Leaders present included First Lady Rachael Ruto, Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua, Second Lady Pastor Dorcas Rigathi, Wetang'ula and Kikuyu MP Kimani Ichung'wah, among other leaders.
