Interior Cabinet Secretary Kithure Kindiki on Wednesday met the UK Security Minister Tom Tugendhat for bilateral talks at Harambee House, Nairobi.
Senior security officials in the country were also part of the meeting.
The talks between the two ministers focused on community security, prevention of violent extremism, counterterrorism, and regional security.
Also discussed were immigration crimes, cyber security, serious organised crime, child protection, and the movement of illicit commodities.
Kindiki and Tugendhat also signed the Kenya-UK Security Compact 2023, during the meeting.
CS Kindiki was accompanied by Principal Secretaries Dr Raymond Omollo (Interior) and Prof Julius Bitok (Immigration).
The visiting UK Minister was flanked by outgoing British High Commissioner Jane Marriott.
