The Kenya Defence Forces generals on Friday escorted retired Chief of Defence Forces General Robert Kibochi out of the Defence Headquarters (DHQ) Offices.
They were led by his successor General Francis Ogolla.
Kibochi served in the military for 44 years before handing over the mantle to Ogolla, who was appointed to the position on April 28.
His pulling out was the final phase of the change of guard ceremony, after he officially handed over the title to Ogolla at the Ulinzi Sports Complex.
The military termed the event as significant.
