Some of the placards read: "Maisha imetulemea punguza bei ya unga" Life is hard on us, reduce the price of unga.
"CBC juu, unga juu, maisha juu, punda amechoka" CBC is expensive, unga is expensive, life is expensive, we are tired.
The protesters were also joined by BodaBoda riders.
