Form 1 admissions are ongoing across the country, with the process going on smoothly in Nairobi.

A visit by the Star to Dagoretti High School, St. Georges Girls and Kenya High School in Nairobi showed that learners were streaming in early to get admitted.

More than 1,244,188 Form 1 students are expected to join the secondary school this week.

The Ministry of Education has set February 6 to 13 as the reporting dates.

Education CS Ezekiel Machogu and Education PS Belio Kipsang paid a visit to St.Georges Girls in Nairobi, where they engaged parents to the new students.

President William Ruto on Sunday said the government has disbursed Sh36 billion capitation and distributed books to schools.

This will ensure that school heads do not extort parents.
