Gachagua, Nassir hold talks on intergovernmental cooperation

They discussed the developmental needs of Mombasa.

Mombasa Governor Abdulswamad Nassir on Thursday held a meeting with Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua.

During the meeting at Harambee House Annex, the leaders deliberated on various issues of intergovernmental cooperation.

Gachagua is the chair of the intergovernmental budget and economic council.

"We discussed the developmental needs of the great County of Mombasa," Gachagua said.

Gachagua said a seamless working relationship between the National Government and the county government, will ensure the needs of the Mombasa people are met.

He added that devolution remains central to Kenya Kwanza Administration owing to its aim to bring back the dignity of Kenyans irrespective of their political affiliation.

On January 11, Nassir met with President William Ruto and held similar discussions, on the development of the coastal county.
