Family and friends of the former Commissioner General of Prisons Isaya Osugo on Tuesday held a requiem mass ahead of his final sendoff on January 20.
Osugo died on January 9 after a short illness.
He had been admitted to the Intensive Care Unit for days over an undisclosed illness.
He retired in 2019 after attaining retirement age. He is credited for steering major reforms in Prisons.
Osugo was a career police officer who had served in various positions.
He served as the Nairobi Central Divisional CID chief before he was promoted and transferred to Provincial CID chief in Eastern province.
