Education CS Ezekiel Machogu on Wednesday released the Kenya Certificate of Primary Education exam results.

The CS first briefed President William Ruto about the results and the performance of the candidates before releasing it to the public.

The tradition is that the Head of State must be briefed on the results before they are officially released by the Education CS.

The exams was released at the examination council.

Some 1,244,188 candidates were registered for the examination.

The tests were administered from November 28 to 30.

Candidates, their parents, and guardians can access the results through the Kenya National Examination Council (KNEC) website, SMS platforms, county education offices and their respective schools.

Candidates should send their index number, followed by the initials KCPE (in capital letters) to 20076 in order to access the results.

The SMS platform is available for all mobile networks and will be charged Sh25 each.

Students are also advised not to have spacing between the index number and the initials KCPE.
