CS Owalo flagging off relief food

Information, Communication and Digital Economy CS Eliud Owalo on Friday led a relief food distribution in Kisumu.

The CS flagged off phase two of the ongoing distribution of emergency relief food. 

This is after a directive from President William Ruto.

The National Drought Management Authority had warned that the situation would get worse due to the failed rains with the number of counties affected by the dry spell also on the rise.

The worsening situation has left 942,000 children aged between 6-59 months and 134,000 pregnant or lactating women acutely malnourished and in need of treatment.  

The CS was accompanied by area MP Onyango Koyoo, Ex-Governors Jack Ranguma and Okoth Obado, Ex-Senator Fred Outa, Former MPS Nicholas Gumbo, politicians Omondi Anyanga, Martin Ogindo, Jared Kopiyo, Sylvance Osele, Mwalimu Odoyo Owidi among other leaders.
