Youth Affairs, Sports and Arts Cabinet Secretary nominee Ababu Namwamba on Friday arrived at County Hall in Nairobi for vetting.
He last served as sports minister in late President Mwai Kibaki's regime between 2012-2013.
If approved, Ababu will take over from CS Amina Mohamed who was appointed to the post in March 2019 by former President Uhuru Kenyatta.
So far, 18 Cabinet nominees appointed by President William Ruto have been vetted.
The vetting is done by Speaker Moses Wetang'ula, MPs Junet Mohamed (Suna East), Naisula Lesuuda (Samburu West), David Losiakou (Pokot South), Abdi Shurie (Balambala) and Stephen Mule (Matungulu).
Other committee members are Mishi Mboko (Likoni), Abdul Dawood (North Imenti), Nelson Koech (Belgut), Dido Ali Raso (Saku), Rahab Mukami (Nyeri), George Murugara (Tharaka), Ferdinand Wanyonyi (Kwanza), David Gikaria (Nakuru East), Mary Emaase (Teso South) and Caleb Amisi (Saboti).
