[PHOTOS] Roads closed as security heightened at Parliament

Treasury CS Ukur Yatani was escorted by a three-vehicle motorcade heavily guarded by a heavy contingent of police officers armed with guns.

Some citizens showed up to witness the budget proceedings from afar.

The 4 corners of the parliament building were heavily guarded as roadblocks were mounted on roads heading to the buildings for safety measures.

No vehicles or motorcycles were allowed to access Parliament Road, City Hall and Harambee Highway.

Uhuru Highway remained open for access although the Parliament building was under heavy guard.
