A total of 1,225,693 candidates have began writing their Kenya Certificate of Primary Education exam across the country.
Students sat their Mathematics paper on Monday across 28,248 examination centres.

President Uhuru Kenyatta wished candidates all the best and asked the candidates not to be warry about the outcome of the exam as long as they do their best at writing what they were taught by teachers.
"Remember what we have always told you, whatever the outcome, we believe in you," Uhuru said in a press statement.
The KCPE exams will take three days, starting from Monday, March 7 and end on Wednesday, March 9, 2022.
