[PHOTOS] Heavy downpour experienced in parts of Nairobi

A heavy downpour was experienced Wednesday in different parts of the country and parts of Nairobi.

The Meteorological Department had earlier this week said that Nairobi would experience moderate to light rains in the afternoon between 12 pm - 6 pm and towards 6 pm to 6 am.

"Daytime highs are expected to be between 25 degrees Celsius and 28 degrees Celsius while nighttime lows are likely to be between 13 degrees Celsius and 16 degrees Celsius," Met director Stella Aura said.

According to the forecast, the mornings are likely to be sunny with occasional light rains in Mathare, Kasarani, Ruaraka, Kamukunji, Makadara, Embakasi, Westlands, Dagoretti, Kibra, Langata and Starehe.

Maximum temperatures within the forecast period will range from 28 degrees Celsius to 26 degrees celsius.

The minimum temperature will range from 17 degrees Celsius to 13 degrees celsius.
