Youths on Friday took part in the beautification of Nairobi streets through art and symbols near the Kenya National Archives.

Part of the drawings represent Nairobi River with some aquatic animals.

The youths target cleaning the Nairobi river right from its sources in Kikuyu alongside a long-term remedy by educating the public especially those living near water bodies on the need for conservation of water bodies.

This will help rejuvenate the city with its natural resources.

The volunteers were from the Nairobi County Government, NMS, UNHabitat, Critical Mass Nairobi, Kounkuey Design Initiative and Public Spaces Network.

Others were from Naipolitans, Mama Cycling, Code for Africa, Nairobi Forum, TICAH (dream Kona), Kilimani Project Foundation, Sensors Africa and the Godown.
