Three Kenya power transformers fell along River Road in Nairobi’s Central Business district on Sunday.

No casualties were reported.

A section of business owners faulted Kenya Power for not carrying out regular checks.

“We thank God that nobody was harmed, had it harmed a person this could be a different story," a business owner told the Star.

Kenya Power closed the road as it carried out repairs.

One transformer hit a Chania bus that operated from Nairobi to Mombasa.

"What a way to start the week!" electrics shop owner Kimani told the Star.

"How are we supposed to conduct our business without electricity? I hope they restore it soon."
