Kenya on Wednesday recorded 503 new cases of Covid-19, bringing the country's case load to 194,310, Health CS Mutahi Kagwe has said.
The CS in a statement confirmed that this was from a sample size of 4,060 recording a positivity rate of 12.3 per cent.
The cumulative tests stand at 2,068,760.
The country's fatalities have risen to 3,811 after another 11 patients succumbed to the disease on diverse dates.
Kagwe said that there are 1,253 patients currently admitted in various hospitals across the country. Another, 3,966 patients are on the home-based care programme.
A total of 140 patients are in ICU, out of which 35 are on ventilatory support.
Also, 288 patients are separately on supplementary oxygen, out of which 255 are in general wards and 33 in the HDU.
Meanwhile, 769 patients have recovered from the disease out of which 523 were from the Homebased care program while 246 were discharged from various health facilities.
Kenya's recoveries now stand at 183,980.
The CS said as of Tuesday, a total of 1,636,475 vaccines had been administered across the country.
Of these, he said total first doses are 1,040,665 while second doses are 595,810.
