• Waluke claimed Raila toured Bungoma and gave out campaign cash to be disbursed to candidates running on parties affiliated with the coalition.
• However, that cash was only dished out to DAP-K candidates, Waluke claimed.
Divisions have rocked the Azimio la Umoja team in Bungoma as leaders in Jubilee and DAP-K parties clash over campaign cash.
Jubilee leaders, led by Sirisia MP John Waluke, have accused their DAP-K counterparts led by Defence CS Eugene Wamalwa and party leader Wafula Wamunyinyi of dishing out cash to their party candidates only.
The MP claimed Azimio presidential candidate Raila Odinga toured Bungoma and gave out campaign cash to be disbursed to candidates running on parties affiliated with the coalition.
However, that cash was only dished out to DAP-K candidates, Waluke claimed.
“We are not going to condone what CS Wamalwa is doing, Jubilee party is part and parcel of Azimio la Umoja coalition. A few people should not come to cause divisions, let us all work towards ensuring Raila succeeds President Uhuru Kenyatta,” Waluke said.
He further claimed DAP-K has been sidelining Jubilee candidates during campaigns.
“DAP-K members recently chased away our Jubilee woman MP aspirant Rebecca Masibayi because she had gone to their rally,” he said.
“They instructed Masibayi to go and organise a Jubilee rally. It’s so unfortunate,”
“We aren’t fighting anybody in Azimio but I'm saying Wamalwa and Wangamati should know Azimio is a big house,” Waluke added.
He urged Eugene to unite DAP, UDP, ODM and Jubilee candidates so they can hunt votes for Raila together.
“There is no time to start exchanging bitter words. What we are expected to do is to go to the grassroots to consolidate votes for Raila,” Waluke said.
