
Police are investigating a series of murders across several counties.
In Kajiado town, the body of Said Sancol Abdi was found on the Namanga Highway on Friday, with head injuries and blood oozing from the mouth and nose.
Five suspects, including a woman, were later arrested, amid claims that a love triangle may have been the motive. The body was taken to the mortuary pending postmortem.
In Rachuonyo, Homa Bay county, 18-year-old Salivan Odero was found dead near River Nyamwaga.
Residents said he and another man were attacked by bees and fell from a wooden bridge, sustaining fatal injuries.
In Shinyalu, Kakamega county, 70-year-old Hannah Khatoyi was killed at her home. The assailant was apprehended by boda boda operators while attempting to flee and later rescued by police.
In Kitengela, Kajiado county, police arrested a suspect in connection with the murder of 50-year-old Caroling Akinyi, whose body was found in a thicket on November 19. The suspect, found in Kisumu with the victim’s car, was escorted back to Kitengela for arraignment.
In Uriri, Migori county, Joel Otieno, 45, was found dead by the roadside in Kot Kajwang. His body had no visible injuries. Investigations are ongoing.
Police continue to investigate these incidents to establish motives and identify further suspects.
