
Ayoma's decomposing body
was discovered on Thursday in his one-room house in
Majengo, Namanga Town.
Neighbours reported a foul smell emanating from the house, prompting them to check.
The officer, last seen on Sunday evening, had taken a short leave and was due to resume duties yesterday.
Police say the cause and exact time of death are yet to be determined. The body was taken to the mortuary pending autopsy.
In Nyandarua county, John Macharia, who had been missing since November 7, was found dead in a swamp in Oljororok on Thursday.
Police reported visible injuries on the back of his head, though the motive remains unclear. His body was taken to the mortuary for autopsy.
Meanwhile, in Homa Bay’s Arunda estate, Wycliffe Amollo, 29, was stabbed to death while alone in his house.
Police found him with stab wounds to the chest and head. His body was moved to the mortuary.
Elsewhere in Rangwe, Homa Bay, police arrested a suspect in connection with the murder of Michael Odongo, 58, last month.
The suspect was found in hiding and will face a murder charge.
