Deputy President Kithure Kindiki has reaffirmed the government’s commitment to developing every part of the country, promising fair distribution of national resources.

Kindiki said Kenya Kwanza administration’s main agenda is to ensure development projects reach all parts of the country, including previously marginalized areas.

On Friday, the DP attended the Tiaty Economic Empowerment engagement in Chemolingot town, where he pledged that government will roll out key projects aimed at improving residents’ lives.

The President, he said, is committed to ensuring equal development across the country, particularly in regions that have long been neglected.

“This country is one, and we must unite to ensure every part receives its fair share of roads, electricity, water, markets, and other essential services,” Kindiki stated.

He emphasized that peace and unity are critical for successful development, urging residents to support efforts to achieve lasting peace in the region.

“I have been here several times on security matters. I thank the people of Tiaty for agreeing to work with us in pursuit of peace and unity.”

While acknowledging progress in improving security in the North Rift, Kindiki stressed that the administration will remain committed to fostering peaceful coexistence among communities.

In line with the Bottom-Up Economic Transformation Agenda, the DP noted that the government is funding numerous projects in Tiaty and across Baringo County.

Currently, 12 modern markets are under construction, including one in Chemolingot costing Sh73 million and another in Barpelo.

The constituency has also benefited from last-mile electricity connections, with Sh170 million allocated.

Kindiki promised to push for an increase to Sh300 million to reach more households.

Several roads have been revived, including Barwesa–Kinyach–Kolowa, Chemolingot–Kapedo–Lokori, and Barpelo–Tot–Sigot–Marich Pass, which are expected to open up the area for economic growth.

Plans are also underway to construct affordable houses in Chemolingot town, as well as hostels for Chemolingot KMTC and the North Rift Technical Vocational College.

“Every part of the country will benefit from national resources, as it should,” Kindiki reiterated.

He defended the empowerment initiative, saying it is aimed at supporting women and youth groups to grow their businesses.

“This is the time to stand with the citizens of Kenya, not to wait until campaigns to support them,” he said.
