Politician gets tongue lashing for joke about bigwig

A politician who recently quit the Kenya Kwanza team has reportedly backed down on his gubernatorial ambitions. The politician, who quite the United Democratic Alliance party in a huff, has found the going tough in his county backyard. He is said to be scheming to be rewarded with a county government job after the August 9 polls. The  former lawmaker, who was initially a staunch supporter of Deputy President William Ruto, is quietly shifting allegiance to the Azimio camp and is likely to be unveiled in the coming weeks. He has been posting on social media how he is about to conclude "listening to the ground" before making his pronouncement.

A political bigwig, who is a leader of a political party, has failed in his manoeuvres to corner a presidential aspirant. It has emerged that his tricks to box the presidential aspirant into a tight corner flopped after his cover was blown. Our small bird whispers to Corridors of Power  that the party leader had demanded a ‘facilitation fee’ to cross over to the aspirant’s camp. However, when the resources were not forthcoming, the honcho switched off his phone at the last minute. The presidential aspirant has gathered intelligence that the politician wanted to pocket the money and then backtrack.

A gubernatorial aspirant is a man under siege. The politician’s own internal polls shocked his camp last week. Despite his domineering presence in a certain political camp, his main rival is still ahead of him in the race. Earlier, the governor aspirant had been bragging how his election was inevitable, until he got the shock of his life. The politician is now keen on hosting his party leader in the county in the coming weeks to shore up his fortunes that are dwindling fast. A tentative budget has already been prepared including ,flying in some party bigwigs from Nairobi to salvage the situation.

A leader of a political outfit enjoying considerable national support is said to have tongue lashed a politician known to be extremely comical about serious political matters. The leader was allegedly angered by the politician’s penchant for extreme political jokes that might cost him votes from a critical constituency. During a mega event, the aspirant is said to have joked that the camp can do without a key and influential politician from a strategic region. Just a few weeks ago, he had also been rebuked for aimlessly attacking rivals and friends alike in a manner that could damage the team’s fortunes.
