Trans Nzoia Governor George Natembeya resigned on January 12, 2022 to venture into politics.
He was the first high-ranking official in the government to resign.
Natembeya painted the grim situation under which police officers in banditry-prone areas work.
He said the officers lack motivation as they are paid the same salaries as their counterparts in other regions.
