Man hacks mother to death in Seme, Kisumu

A 55-year-old woman has been hacked to death by her son over alleged domestic dispute in Seme, Kisumu county.

The incident occurred at Ting'a village of South Kowe sub-location on Monday at about 1.30pm.

County police commander Kipkirui Ngeno confirmed the incident.

He said a member of the public reported that Selin Adhiambo Olenyo had been seriously assaulted by her son Michael Odhiambo Olenyo (34).

"When the officers visited the scene they found the victim lying  down in a pool of blood with deep cuts on the head and was already dead," Ngeno said.

The county police boss said police are now looking for the suspect who has since gone missing after the heinous act.
