The body was transferred to the hospital’s mortuary awaiting postmortem.

Elsewhere, a 94-year-old woman burned to death in Kapuonja, Kisumu West subcounty.

Anampiu said the incident happened after a paraffin oil lamp exploded and burned her mattress and other bedding.

On Thursday at 2.40 pm, Ayieko discovered that his wife was inside the borehole and had already drowned when he went to draw water to take a bath.

Ayieko called the area assistant chief Nancy Ondithi who reported the matter to the Kogony police post. The body was removed to JOOTRH mortuary awaiting postmortem.
