Gem MP Jakoyo Midiwo has been accused of spreading rumours to taint Siaya Governor Cornell Rasanga's image.
Central Gem MCA Fred Ouda said Midiwo is seeking political mileage at Rasanga's expense.
He said if the National Assembly deputy minority leader has evidence on Rasanga swindling county funds he should do something about it.
“The MP should go to court rather than shoot in every corner of the county like a tout,” Ouda said.
He was speaking at the county assembly on Wednesday.
The vice chairman of the Public Accounts Committee said he is waiting for Jakoyo's evidence on misappropriation of county funds.
He said Midiwo should not divert the public's attention from his personal predicaments to Rasanga.
Ouda accused Midiwo of dispensing malice.
