Eldas MP Adan Keynan has pledged continued support for schools in his constituency after Eldas Girls Secondary School made history by winning the Northeasternregional volleyball championship.
The school defeated Darul Hikma Girls in the finals held at Garissa High School, clinching the title for the first time.
In recognition of their outstanding performance, Keynan facilitated a special visit for the team to the National Assembly and hosted them for a celebratory dinner at the Nairobi Serena Hotel.
Speaking during the dinner, which brought together political leaders, education officials, professionals, youth, elders, and members of the community, Keynan hailed the team’s triumph as a shining example of discipline, dedication, and the power of teamwork.
“With immense pride, I thank the Eldas Girls fraternity, the school’s management, parents, and the wider community for lifting Eldas to the national stage and inspiring a generation through talent and ambition,” he said.

“Your determination and team spirit have made us proud,” he told the team.
“Moments like these spark ambition, deepen patriotism, and reaffirm our commitment to nurturing the next generation of leaders from every part of this country.”
He affirmed his commitment to supporting a holistic education experience in the constituency, promising continued investment in infrastructure, talent development, and co-curricular programs.
“We will keep investing in facilities and initiatives that promote excellence in sports, arts, and leadership,” Keynan said.
Eldas Girls Principal Issack Muktar also expressed gratitude to the MP, parents, and the Ministry of Education for their support.
“Special thanks go to our Honorable MP for his unwavering backing in developing education and talent at our school,” he said. “Your investment has created an environment where our girls can flourish not just in academics but in co-curricular activities too.”

The elated students, some of whom were visiting Nairobi for the first time, said the experience was unforgettable.
“This is a moment we’ll cherish for the rest of our lives,” said team captain Halima Omar Hassan. “Our victory was the result of hard work and discipline, guided by our coaches and teachers.”
