Three county public service board members in a one of the counties are said to be holding double jobs in government. In addition to serving as board members, the trio is employed by public universities to serve in various capacities. It is said that at the time of their appointment, the officials were ineligible since they already held full-time jobs at the institutions of higher learning. Word is that the three are in panic mode, fearing that the authorities would want to recover all the money paid to them as county public service board members.

A first-term governor is said to be working on a plot to silence his political critics, mainly those who supported his candidature in the last general elections. An insider said the county boss has trained his guns on the area senator, county woman representative and a number of MCAs who are opposed to his style of politics. Also said to be on the radar of the governor are county government and county assembly employees who undermined his bid in the 2022 polls.
