Trans Nzoia Senator Allan Chesang has called on the government to actively engage content creators in promoting state projects, policies, and flagship developments such as Konza Technopolis.

Chesang, who chairs the Senate ICT Committee, said that empowering content creators to showcase government initiatives would not only create opportunities for young people but also boost Kenya’s digital visibility on the global stage.

“Let us use content creators to talk about government projects, policies, and Konza to Kenyans, especially the youth. By giving them these tasks, we will not only be empowering them but also spreading to the world what the government is doing,” he said.

“As Chair of the Senate ICT Committee, I reaffirm our commitment to supporting policies and legislation that will accelerate Konza’s growth into a world-class Smart City and a global hub for innovation under Vision 2030,” Chesang said.

He praised Konza as a model of successful public-private partnership, pointing to its integration of green energy, affordable housing, special economic zone incentives, investor support, and an innovation ecosystem anchored by universities and research institutions.

“Together, we are working to position Konza as Africa’s leading Smart City, creating opportunities in ICT, investment, tourism, and industrialisation,” he added.
