Police are investigating an incident in which two men dumped a body of a man at a clinic before escaping in Dandora, Nairobi.

Police said they are looking for the duo who were on a motorcycle and  left the body on Wednesday morning at the clinic before speeding off.

An attendant at the private clinic told police he did not manage to take details of the motorcycle during the 1am incident.

The victim had a big wound in the forehead but did not have any identification documents.

The men left the body at the entrance and jumped on the motorcycle before speeding off.

Police were called to the clinic and took the body to the mortuary.

Nairobi deputy police boss James Mugera said they were yet to  identify the victim.

“We are waiting for the postmortem to tell us how he died and fingerprint reports to identify him,” he said.

He said they suspect the man was known to the two men who dumped him at the clinic and they may have been injured during a mission gone bad.

Police are running through footages captured on security cameras in the area in efforts to trace the two riders.

Meanwhile, police on Wednesday recorded at least two suicide incidents in Nairobi alone.

In one incident, the body of Basil Onyango, 35, was found in his house hours after he died by suicide.

He swallowed poison in his house in Kayole where he lived with his younger sister.

The motive of the incident is yet to be known.

In the second discovery, a decomposed body of 34-year-old David Mwenya was found in his house in Kamae, Kahawa West area.

He had apparently hanged himself using a piece of clothe on an unknown date. The body was taken to the mortuary.

In Soweto, Kayole, the body of John Muhando was discovered on the roadside with no visible injuries. Postmortem will be conducted on the bodies to establish cause of death.

The body of Sammy Mulwa aged 50, was found in his house in Kibera. It is not clear what caused his death.

Mugera said they are investigating how the men died.

Cases of suicide have been on the rise in the country amid calls to address the trend. Police record up to five incidents daily in the country.
