A woman aged 84 was brutally killed outside her house in Matinyani, Kitui County.

Police said Florence Kimunyi was first clobbered in her house before the body was dragged outside, where she succumbed to the injuries.

The motive of the Sunday dawn incident in the Kyamani village was not immediately established.

The body had physical injuries on the left side of the head. The killers are believed to have gained entry into the single-roomed semi-permanent house through the window before attacking her.

In the house, the beddings were soaked with blood and a stone and a brick suspected to have been used to commit the heinous crime were recovered and kept as exhibits.

The body was moved to the mortuary pending an autopsy and further probe. In the Bosongo area, Kisii Town, a man aged about 30 was found dead after suspected murder.

Police said they were Sunday evening called and informed that the body of the man had been found lying on the roadside after the murder.

The body had visible injuries on the head and stomach when it was found.

The man did not have identification documents then. The body was moved to the mortuary pending identification and autopsy.

In Gachuba, Nyamira County, police are investigating murder in an incident where a three-year-old boy was found dead in a house.

It is not clear how the boy died, police said, adding they were holding a relative for grilling following the November 1 incident.

The body was preserved at a local mortuary pending an autopsy. Elsewhere in Siaya Town, one Christine Achieng, 18 was found dead in a house after a suspected murder.

Her body had deep cuts on the head and bruises on her legs and hands.

The cause of the death and motive was not immediately known, police said as they moved the body to the mortuary pending an autopsy.

And a 37-year-old man was electrocuted in an incident in Mbooni, Makueni County.

He died as he tried to connect power supply from a high voltage cable to his friend’s house in Kiliku village.

Locals said Joseph Musyoki fell from the power pole at the scene after the electrocution and died.

Both legs were badly burnt in the incident. He was pronounced dead on arrival at a local hospital.

Meanwhile, a teacher at a private school in the Dandora area, Nairobi was found dead in his house after a fall.

The deceased identified as Ezra Momanyi, 50 was a teacher at Main Preparatory School in the area.

A relative had gone to visit him at his house when he found him lying dead.

His nose and mouth had serious injuries and blood was oozing from there, police said.

The body was moved to the mortuary pending an autopsy and other procedures.
