An IPOA officer, Job Mugira, has set eyes on the Imenti Central MP’s seat held by Kirima Ngushine.

Mugira says he seeks to end the alleged poor leadership and corruption allegations facing Ngushine.

The Independent Policing Oversight Authority pension scheme chairman has raised questions over the use of CDF.

He says the constituency has lagged behind despite receiving heavy chunks of money over the last five years.

Mugira said the region has dilapidated roads, lacks proper hospitals and is poorly governed.

This, he says, is chasing away investors who in turn consider neighbouring constituencies like Imenti South and Imenti North.

Mugira said he will use his foreign and local connections to build a cancer centre and a Level 5 hospital through lobbying and not from CDF.

“What was being renovated with all that money? ” he said.

The economics and statistics graduate said he does not have money to splash at electorates. He however, says, he  has the heart to serve with integrity and develop the constituency.

“I have only saved for some airtime to my poling agents and Sadaka for church, but I will win,” he said.

The chairman who claims his leadership dream started in 1997, expressed confidence when he launched his grassroots mobilisation tours.

The tours are scheduled for weekends as he plans to resign by end of February 2022.

He is confident about creating a good rapport with members of the public so that residents fully participate in his development agenda.

Mugira said with the help of Dear Little Sister Foundation ran by his wife, he will continue to advocate for the rights of the girl child and against teenage pregnancies or female genital mutilation.

“I will address people’s needs. I will rescue businesses, work with traders and create an enabling environment for all youths to start their businesses. My joy is to see many families happy,” he said.
